Bachelor:

These amounts are for $23,662 per year (30 credits) in tuition. 
The scholarship is awarded at 3 levels determined by the applicant's academic achievements. 

This amount is applied to  $27,300 per year (45 credits) in tuition. 

  • Level A: $11,998 per year (2 sessions,  30 credit equivalent) or $5,999 per session (15 credits) or $399 per credit 
  • Level B: $5,718 per year (2 sessions,  30 credit equivalent) or $2,859 per Session (15 credits) or $190.60 per credit 
  • Level C: $2,000 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $1,000 per session (15 credits) or $66.67 per credit 

Master's degree: 

  • This amount is added to the tuition  of $27,300 per year (45 credits) applied.
  • $9,420 per year (3 sessions, equates to 45 credits) or $3,140 per session (equivalent to 15 credits)

  • This amount applies to  tuition  of $24,300 per year (45 credits).
  • You must be an international student. 
  • You must have a study permit and cannot be a permanent resident of Canada or hold Canadian citizenship. 
  • Applicants must be enrolled  in a full-time program during their studies at the Université de Montréal.

International students accepted beginning in Fall 2020:

  • Who have a study permit but are not permanent residents or citizens of Canada.
  • Who will be enrolled in a study program full-time for the duration of their studies.
  • Who will not benefit from another policy or measure that provides tuition fee exemption? This type of exemption is already available to French and Belgian Francophone students.

How do I apply for this scholarship?

1. Submit an application for admission

It is not necessary for you to apply for an UdeM Exemption Scholarship.The files of new candidates will be reviewed to determine their eligibility and the amount of their exemption scholarship.

4. Receive the award notification and the award amount

Following receipt of your admissions offer, the Université de Montréal will promptly notify you via email of the scholarship amount to which you are entitled. Print this document and keep it somewhere safe. It will be useful in the future.
