Overview:
Algoma University offers scholarships to help with the costs of attendance. The bulk of scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic ability and recent academic performance.
Algoma University, which is ranked 75th in Canada and 4316th globally, is among the top 31% of universities worldwide. Furthermore, it comes in at #1205 out of 2629 in North America, #21 out of 24 in Ontario, and #1 out of 1 in Sault Ste. Marie.
The student whose parent graduated from Algoma University and has the highest average across the top six U or M courses offered for entrance is awarded a grant worth up to $2,000 per year. During two consecutive terms (fall and winter) of study at Algoma University, the candidate must enrol in and retain 30 credits. This prize is not extendable.

Fully Funded Us Embassy Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria:
- The temporary resident visa required by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada for students in the international class being considered for the following awards must be present on the first day of classes.
- The Entrance Scholarship is open to all students who must pay the international differential fee, including university transfers, students pursuing a second degree, graduates with a college diploma, and students transferring from a college.
- International scholarships may not be postponed under any circumstances. Students must consent to the terms and conditions of admission and any scholarships offered for the given year.
- English Language proficiency test not required if the student has achieved a C grade or higher in O-Level English
Note: These scholarships are not available to nationals of the United States because they are already entitled to a sizable tuition discount.
